  • 1 package SUTTON & DODGE® Beef Chuck Tender Steak
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons dry sherry
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange peel
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon five-spice powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil


  1. Buy 1 (1 to 1-1/4 lb) package Sutton & Dodge Beef Chuck Mock Tender Steak.

  2. Combine the orange juice, soy sauce, sherry, orange rind, garlic, five-spice powder, and sesame oil in a resealable plastic bag. Add the steaks, turning to coat with the marinade. Seal the bag and refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours, turning occasionally.

  3. Prepare the grill for high direct heat, positioning the rack 5 to 6 inches from the heat source.

  4. Remove the steaks from the marinade and discard the marinade. Lightly oil the grill rack. Cover and cook the steaks for 6 to 8 minutes, turning once, for medium rare doneness (140-150 degrees F). Cover and let stand fro 5 minutes before serving.

  • Grilled vegetable kabobs
